Profile:
Owners Derek & Lorraine Buttimore been involed with speedboats for 50 years. Lorraines father Ken Ward buil t& raced boats from the early 1940s Such boats as MaryAnne, Miss Kathleen and the Susie boats. Brothers Alex & Bruce Ward also raced boats for many years. Derek has raced many years in such boats as Black Mist(hydro), Cilla(midget), Mustang(3ltr flattie) and Paradox/Megabucks. Derek is also a life member of North Taranaki Powerboat Club & Series 3000 Drivers Club. Jason grew up with the boats and first raced Megabucks at age of 17. Raced for couple years with no luck at all. Boat sat in shed for 6 years. Got boat running 5 years ago and now working towards getting to full potential.
