Rescue Craft.
The
Current Rescue Boat was Purchased in 2006 and uses a Ramco Hull with a 90hp
Mariner Outboard
 |
The Purpose of the Driver Rescue Boat is to return the Driver to the shore based Medical Team as soon as possible so any Injury maybe treated. Three People are required to be on the Rescue Craft, The Driver whom Pilots the Craft, The Diver who is trained in Rescue and Recovery, A third person is there to assist with loading Patients onto the Boat |

onto the boat whilst they are on the backboard |

Often a member of the Paramedic Team will be on Board |
| The Rescue Diver must wear his scuba Gear whilst a race is in Progress. |

The Rescue Craft is also there to help extinguish any Fires that may break out. |
The
Old NZPBA Rescue Craft was sold to the Southland Power Boat Club

The Southland Club Had to do a lot of Work on the Boat including replacement
of the underpowered Engine. They have also added a Fire Pump System.
The Boat is available for use at South Island Regattas |
