Profile:
I am a Automotive Technician from Te Kuiti and my wife and I own our own workshop, Southend Mechanical & Electrical. We employ an Apprentice Automotive Technician and an Auto Electrician. Previously I am from Auckland where before leaving, I was running two workshops. My wife, Hayley, and I have two children. Brayden who is 4 1/2, and Kyla who is 2 1/4. They all come to my races and support me, Brayden taking great pains to tell me when i don't win!! But gets really excited when i get a placing. It has been a hard couple of years trying to get the boat to a reliable and competitive stage. Hopefully this year there will be a bit less frustration and a bit more fun times. This is my third season of racing, having had no experience before this. I have thoroughly enjoyed the races and socialising. My Father in law inherited the boat from the Ward family in Wanganui, which in it's time was one of the fastest in it's class, having won North Island, South Island and National Championships. We also have the boat previous, Susie III.
