As you are aware, New Zealand has transitioned into the new Covid Protection Traffic Light System.

The NZPBA Executive have been having zoom meetings and discussing what this means to us as a sport and our upcoming events.
As a result we are advising that with all club and regatta days/weekends run under “ Orange” & “Green" the vaccine passport rule will need to apply.
Only the official Vaccine pass will be accepted, not the purple booking card you may have received.
You are able to download your vaccination pass to your phone or print off a paper copy at:
You can download the Verifier app for Apple or Android so you an scan the vaccination passports at:
As a suggestion to manage who has been verified it may be helpful for you to use a wrist band to easily confirm who have been verified.
Remember to please keep in contact with your local councils before your events for any updates or changes they may have in Covid 19 processes.
You would of seen by now that unfortunately NZGP has had to cancel Taupo and Karapiro due to the restrictions in place.  The last thing we as an executive want to see is the Island and NZ Titles cancelled completely from the calendar this season.   It has been suggested the Nationals could be hosted by the Rotoiti club, and after consultation with them this is looking like a positive outcome. The NZPBA Executive will advise clubs officially on the 11th Dec.
Remember any of the executive members are here and only a phone call away if you have any concerns or questions around the covid 19 restrictions and what  responsibilities your club has when hosting an event this season.
Kind regards,

Angela Buttimore
NZPBA Secretary
